Ava's Bio
Ava Allen is a graduate of the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering. With 13 years of professional experience, Ava has used her knowledge and skill in industrial enginnering, operations research, statistics, and process re-engineering within the manufacturing, hospital, and health insurance industries. In 1997, she began her engineering career with Publix Corporate Manufacturing facilities in Lakeland within the meat and dairy processing plants. After relocation to South Carolina several years later, she became a Business Process Consultant for BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina with a focus on improving processes in claims, IT, and a variety of other opportunities. Recently returning to Florida, she is currently continuing her improvement focus as a Business Process Architect for BlueCross BlueShield of Florida.
Ava is also a member of the Institute of Industrial Engineers, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., and the Executive Women's Golf Association. Originally from the Tampa area, Ava enjoys creative arts, being a musician, playing golf, and tutoring math.
