Jane's Bio:

Jane McDowell Wahl graduated form the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics. She began her career with State Farm Insurance Companies in 1985 in the regional office in Jacksonville in claims, and subsequently moved into Fire Operations. She has worked in the State Farm Corporate Headquarters as well as other zones in the company. In 1994 she became State Farm's Public Affairs Manager in Florida. She relocated back to Jacksonville in 2001, and is currently a Process Manager in the Florida Zone Process Renewal Group.

Wahl is an ASQ Certified Six Sigma Black Belt, and has earned her CPCU, CLU, FLMI and CQIA designations. She is the Chairman of Duval Prepares, Duval County's PreDisaster Mitigation program, and is a founding member of the Federal Alliance for Safe Homes. She is a member of the Budget and Finance Committee of the CPCU Society, serves on the Board of the University of Florida's Smathers Library, and is a member of the Executive Council of the American Diabetes Association of North Florida. State Farm is a partner in the America's Promise Alliance, and Wahl is a member of the Florida Zone Education Initiative Committee that facilitates their participation in those activities. She works with the Housing Partnership of Jacksonville, coordinating insurance presentations for their New Homebuyers Seminars. A Jacksonville native, she and her husband are the proud parents of the world's greatest dog, Happy.
