Being a Proctor

To be an Instructor you need to be currently certified in one or more ASQ certifications, an active member in an ASQ section and available to work on the Saturday of the examination from 7:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

In addition if you plan to take one of the following certifications within the next 12 months, you can not proctor for this exam:  CQT; CPGP; CQA; CQE; CQIA; CQPA; CSSGB and CSQE.

Proctor duties are:

  • Read Assistant Proctor Instructions before exam day
  • Help Set up Exam rooms in the morning (arrange tables/chairs)
  • Sign-in Examinees
  • Escort Examinees to the Exam rooms
  • Check reference materials
  • Hand out exams
  • Monitor during the exam
  • Collect completed exams and sign examinees out

You will receive Proctor credits depending on your assignment and paid per hour you performed your duties. To apply contact the Certifcation Chair using the contact form below for details.

The proctors will need to be there at 7:15 to 7:30 AM to get set up and it will be over sometime between noon and 1:00pm.  Some exams last until 1:00, but I can usually let proctors leave earlier depending on how many examinees remain.

If you know of others wanting to help and earn 0.5 RU's, please have them get in touch with the Certification Chair by using the contact form below.
